ĭuring qualifying for the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix, Pérez had a bad crash. Sauber also announced a partnership with the Mexican telecom company Telmex. He will partner with current driver Kamui Kobayashi and replace Nick Heidfeld. On October 4, 2010, Sauber announced that Pérez will race for the team next season. For the 2008 season, he compeated in the International Class and finished fourth in the drivers' standings.
